This entry is nothing much...but just like to share what i found out about this slang regarding drugs.

This started off when i was chatting with nien yi on msn...and i crack my usual 'selin joke'; something about weed and pot. Then nien yi said something about weed being a kind of pot...which then i realize my ignorance towards drugs. Which wasn't such a surprise since i go through life with "ignorance" blasting in full mode. Anyway that's beside the point.

What i found out is pot is basically marijuana. Weed on the other hand (have loads of different kinds) could be marijuana, or PCP or could be a mixture of both together ... with funny names like Super Weed, Giggle Weed, Zombie Weed, Stink Weed... 

The highlight is this....
** finger : condom filled with drugs, swallowed to facilitate drug smuggling...interesting...

Phew...it's been a short and painful week but well rewarding. Finally no more DFSA and Control matlab assignments! I've been keeping well with my new years' resolution, i'm quite proud of myself that i made it to the 9 am lectures today! Yay!

i was just reading kim's entry about how humans only have less than a century to live while ents/elves and the like live to be a few centuries or millennia old. Many years back i've wondered about how short human lives are. I'm not comparing that to elves or whatsnot but as in imagine if there's someone who stares down on earth and to him...earth is just a small little marble slowly rolling around and humans are just this tiny spec of dust on the globe. Wouldn't what we do day to day seem mundane and unsignificant? What is the point of us going to school, writing things like this... will all this make a difference 5000 years later?

Yet in this short few centuries, we manage to wreck the forest, flatten mountains and puncture a hole on the ozone. If every small little life can contribute to such huge distruction, then why don't we use this energy to create something more constructive and beautiful?

Also i think humans never learn...we ended the last millenium. Looking back we see a series of senseless war causing unnecessary pain and misery. Any pea brain would think right, this is a new millenium, lets try and make it a better one. But no ... some idiots have to go and smear it and start a war right at the very begining of the millenium! 

I was really discouraged by the silly addressing modes and i decided it was a long time since reading my sisters' blogs. So i did...i it's really nice and amusing. Makes me feel so much closer to know what have been going on. For example...i didn't know flowerhorn and plaster passed away more than 3 weeks ago. ¹May they all rest in peace.

Reading through their bloggs and looking at all the funny quirky things they do...sigh i miss them so much.

This led me to think...how can anyone ever be certain about something? What u think is right now...could be wrong in the future. How sure can u be that the decisions u made are the best?

I so should be doing my Commputer Architecture's Assignment now but i can't help feeling like i'm wasting my time trying to do something that i'm sure i will get 0% in the end. Might as well spend it studying or doing some revision...
